The Office of Workers' Compensation Administration is pleased to announce a new and better method for trading partners (insurers, self-insured employers, and claim administrators) to submit Employer Reports of Illness/Injury.
Beginning July 1, 2013, trading partners will have the option of submitting First Report of Injury (FROI) forms electronically. Based on standards set by the International Association of Industrial Accident Boards and Commissions, this electronic form will improve accuracy and efficiency. Beginning Jan. 1, 2014, the reporting of First Report of Injury (FROI) forms electronically will become mandatory.
Our office will continue to accept Employer Reports of Injury/Illness submitted by mail on the LWC-WC-1007 form until Dec. 31, 2013. However, all Employers will be required to submit, through their insurance carrier/self insured employer, Employer Reports of Injury/Illness on the new form LWC-WC-IA-1 beginning Jan. 1, 2014.
